Modular Frame Tactics - Weapon Showcase - The Bow
by ianchase on Mar.06, 2010, under Game Design, Modular Frame Tactics, 3D
Another in the many anachronistic weapons used in MFT. The bow is based on a modern compound bow that utilizes a pulley system and parallel limbs to maximize effective firing power and ease of use.
Modular Frame Tactics - Weapon Showcase - The Fan
by ianchase on Feb.28, 2010, under Art, Game Design, Modular Frame Tactics, 3D
Elegant and deadly, the concept for this weapon is inspired by the oriental combat fans of generations past. It serves the dual role of not only being a capable melee weapon, but it also doubles as a shield that protects the user from ranged projectile attacks. Getting into close range is the only sure-fire way to fight a fan weilder in MFT, but it might well be a trick to lure you in.
Fanart - Ghostory - Hitagi Pinup
by ianchase on Feb.27, 2010, under Art, Fanart
A little play on the phrase "pinup" with Hitagi from Bakemonogatari (a.k.a. Ghostory). It's a very engaging light novel series that combines supernatural-horror with slice-of-life-comedy/drama. I think it's no secret that I love seeing assertive, sexy women in stories and Hitagi exceeded all expectations in that regard with her witty and frank dialog. It's got me keeping an eye on other works by the same author, Nisio Isin, including Katanagatari.

Sorry for the delay, I've been trying to work out a few bugs in the system and generally work out details for the how the rest of the year is going to turn out. In the mean time, until i have a more full featured explaination ready, here's a little thing I've been working on in my space time, new illustration for MZG that doubles as an entry for the Mizugi Muffler Battle.
